| Greetings!
Thanks for visiting my Astronomy Pages. I have had more than a passing interest in Astronomy for about 35 years.
My younger brother did a school science report on the 1972 comet Kohoutek. After reading some of the books he was referencing, I was hooked! My first real telescope was one I am still using today, a 10" Cave Astrola newtonian. After my early teenage years, Astronomy was left behind in order to 'make a living'. Such as it is for so many, practical considerations took hold and I entered the medical field despite an undergraduate degree in Astronomy! My interests and equipment bounced around from 1 residence to another until recently undertaking the projects detailed in these pages. Certainly it is a great time to be getting back into this with the recent explosion in imaging technology, Pro-Am collaboration, the web, etc! I am enjoying amateur astronomy and still entertain the possibility of returning to graduate studies (when financially practical to do so!).
Like all websites, this is a work in progress and covers a fair amount of material.
The Amateur Astronomy section among other things chronicles the restoration of my original Cave telescope, a project I undertook in the Summer of 2003. There are also occasional outreach activities I like to organize whenever possible.

| The 'Astro Images' section is self explanatory. Currently the technology available to amateurs is so sophisticated that just successfully operating the equipment is a full-time endeavor! Whenever possible, as I continue to learn, I try to post my own experiences so others might learn as well.
Astronomy and Astrophysics will cover a variety of topics and ongoing projects. The 'CUREA' experience I had in 2003 was a phenomenal time and reinforced my ongoing passion for Astronomy. Please look at that section if you have time!
I would like to thank my family for their continued support, the CUREA staff for the inspiration and putting together a great program, and all of the amateurs and professionals I have interacted with via the web, meetings etc. for their time and assistance. The journey continues!
